Recently I was selected as an applicant for Jauntaroo a travel and tourism company that was making headline news with a campaign to find a chief world explorer to travel and blog. The coveted Chief World Explorer job was open for a month to anyone in the world to apply, with over 3,000 applicants I was selected to be one of them. The applicants are chosen on a few things, Who you are, what you have done, and your marketability. each applicant is to make a 60 second video. Mine is about my travels and philanthropic activities. You can vote for each applicant by clicking on their link. A screen shot of mine is pictured here.
Regardless I have a long weekend off from volleyball back in Germany and I plan to make the most of my time.
My first day. I dropped my bag took a quick shower and bundled up headed to a local cafe to grab some french bread and a coffee sitting and plotting my excursion. Then after a power charge I walked the through the streets until I reached the Louvre. OH! The Louvre? So touristy I know I know.
Does it make it not so touristy if you go with a Parisian. Yup, I went with a local. I met up with a friend that I had previously met back six months ago when I was touring Italy for a volleyball contract.
I kept in touch and then arranged to meet up and see both the tourist and local spots. Tonight we’ll grab some local eats and a coffee an walk around. Then tomorrow, parks, street fairs, wandering back door bookstores, small mom a pop cafes, meet some french people, relax in the park then watch sun set at the Eiffel Tower and go up to the top at night. Yup.
What can i say, I dislike seeing the same photo over and over on google. Had to make an original one. Paris, France.
